Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin



Since I have started blogging I have found some wonderful recipes for the crock pot. In the past my crock pot was used for dip or keeping things warm, but not for cooking a meal. 

I found a recipe on Pinterest for pork tenderloin that sounded very interesting. I thought the combination of ingredients was kind of odd, but this recipe made me want to give it a try. The pork tenderloin turned out full of flavor and very tender.

And as always it is so nice to put something in a crock pot and walk away and end up with a delicious product.

The pork tenderloin was served with the honey wheat bread from my last post and rice. The pork tenderloin and the ingredients in the recipe make a nice sauce, which was used to serve over the rice.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 to 2 pound pork tenderloin
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoon yellow mustard
4 - 6 tablespoons pancake syrup
4 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons diced dried onions
3 teaspoons garlic salt
Directions:
Put the pork tenderloin into the crock pot and set aside. Put all of the other ingredients into a small bowl and mix together. Pour over the pork tenderloin. Turn the crock pot on low and cook for 6 hours. That's it and you will have a tasty pork tenderloin that is surely to please everyone.

  3. I had pulled pork recently that was made in a slow cooker (crockpot) - it was amazing! So I'm thinking of getting a slow cooker now too...

  4. The recipes ingredients sound interesting and delicious, and it all looks wonderful. I love the crockpot...it's like having a chef home cooking while you are out for the day! I try to stay with healthier versions, i.e. none of those with cream of whatever included, and it works out well. I will try this recipe soon...crockpot season is all year here, but this recipe looks particularly good for these cold winter days.

  5. This is what I call comfort dish & I just love the idea cooking pork in crock pot. The meat is always tender & not over cooked! Cooking with crock pot makes it easy especially during the busy week days!

  15. How do you get the ingredients to "stick" to the pork like that? I made this last night (sooooo delicious) but my mix was very runny and most of it ended up at the bottom of the pot. Is that normal?

    1. I am not sure why yours did not stick to the top. Maybe you had more liquid than I did. (Sorry that is not much help). I am so glad to hear that you liked this.
